Three people were stabbed to death in Nottingham
Three people were stabbed to death in Nottingham on Tuesday morning. Two of the victims were 19-year-old university students, and the third was a man in his 50s.
The incident happened in the city center, near the Nottingham Trent University campus. Police were called to the scene at around 11 am, and they found three people with stab wounds. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the deaths. He is being held in custody and is due to appear in court later today.
The police have not released the names of the victims, but they have said that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
The stabbings have shocked the city of Nottingham. The mayor, David Mellen, has said that the community is "deeply saddened" by the deaths.
