A glittering opening ceremony at the Bedouin tent-inspired Al Bayt Stadium invites the world to gather in Qatar as the FIFA World Cup™ kicks off for the first time in the Middle East and Arab world. The 30-minute show will be full of surprises, featuring a performance of Dreamers - another hit single on the official soundtrack of the FIFA World Cup - by celebrated South Korean pop star Jung Kook of BTS and Qatari singer Fahad Al- Kubaisi.
The theme of the opening ceremony is a meeting for all humanity, bridging differences through humanity, respect and inclusion. Football allows us to unite as one tribe and the earth is the tent we all live in.
