Police are still looking for a missing mother-of-two who disappeared while walking her dog in St. Michael's, Lancashire.

The 45-year-old Nicola Bulley vanished a week ago while walking her springer spaniel Willow by the River Wyre. The mother-of-two's phone was found next to a bench by the river, but Nicola was nowhere to be found.

According to Lancashire Constabulary, it is believed that Nicola walked along the riverbank path at 8:43 a.m. after dropping her kids off at school. A different dog walker who spoke with Ms. Bulley at this time also noticed her.

Just after 9am, Nicola joined a Teams call, and about 10 minutes later, a friend noticed her. The Teams call, with Nicola remaining logged in, ended at 9:30am, though.

Five minutes later, a different dog walker discovered her cellphone and pet dog. There is "nothing to suggest" foul play, according to the police, who said today (Friday) that they believe she fell into the river.

A week has passed since Nicola vanished, and Supt. Sally Riley said: "Nicola's disappearance has understandably caused a great deal of concern and upset in the local community, as well as being an absolutely terrible time for her family. As a mother, I cannot even begin to fathom the pain they are going through. We are providing them with the best support we can while keeping them informed of our search for Nicola.

"We've put in a tremendous amount of effort, both in terms of searching the area and making in-depth inquiries behind the scenes, and based on that work, we're as confident as we can be that Nicola hasn't left the area where she was last seen and that, very sadly, for some reason, she's fallen into the water.

"After conducting a thorough investigation, there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that she has been hurt or that someone else is responsible for her disappearance. This case is still under investigation as a missing person, and we will keep looking for Nicola and doing everything in our power to get her family and the rest of the community the answers they so desperately need.

Officers will be present throughout the village, and anyone with information or queries is welcome to speak with us. ".
